Functional, community-based exercise. Meets CMS Appendix Z exercise requirements.
Exercise Objectives
- Activate and implement Incident Command to manage the event
- Activate Severe Weather Plans
- Activate and implement Utility Outage Plans
- Implement internal and regional Communications Plans
- Activate Flood Plan
- Identify triggers for evacuation and initial triage of clients/residents

Pre-Exercise Trainings:
Controller and Evaluator Training (required):
What: Designate two staff members who will fill the roles of Controller and Evaluator during the exercise. This session will provide training on the roles of the Controller and Evaluator and review the Coalition-provided tools for each role.
Exercise Basics (optional):
What: Develop baseline knowledge of exercise design, types, how to conduct, as well as roles and responsibilities
MNTrac Training (optional):
- What: Learn how to log-in and navigate MNTrac, a virtual coordination and communication platform
